Silk Lampshades designed & made by feature-lighting.co.uk
We use various types of silk fabric to cover our lampshades - mostly classic doupion silk with its subtle natural slubs and smooth lustre satin silk which reflects and bounces light around - both of which can be used to line lamp shades as well for the added touch of luxury. We also have a new Artisan Silk that has a much more woven texture that looks wonderful when illuminated. We also have a faux silk that has a more consistent slub than real silk and offers not only a lower price point but is also more serviceable in terms of being more resistant to marks and stains. It’s personal choice
