Too much choice - too many options - read our blog for tips & advice on choosing lampshades & lighting
Things to consider. a lampshade looks very different when it is switched off & when it is switch on. The internal lamination of the shade creates different effects - Opacity, reflection, transparency, diffusion.
Light source, do you want to see the light source (bulb) or do you want it hidden?
Weave of the fabric - some fabrics illuminate beautifully, others less so - heavy weave printed linens may look great on upholstery or curtains, but when illuminated from behind, the printed pattern is often lost in a criss cross of dark & light fibres, an effect that in its own ( on a plain fabric ) is a lovely effect, but if you were hoping for the surface pattern to be enhanced, you will probably be disappointed - so it's a pay off between what you want the lamp to look like during the day when it is switched off & during the evening when it is switched on, as they will likely be two very different looking lamps.
We are always happy to advise you.
