We specialise in making bespoke Mini Lampshades - the cute small shades typically used on wall lights and chandeliers, essentially a small lamp shade but with a clip-on fitting - How do clip on lamp shades work? Very simply using a flexible wire clip-on fitting that simply fits over and holds itself onto a candle shaped light bulb, or sometimes onto golf ball shaped bulbs. We can also custom make Mini light shades with other types of fittings: B14 is common for wall lamps and chandelier fittings as it is for smaller lightbulb fittings - We can manufacture these tiny lampshades in different shapes and sizes : usually small cylinder lamp shades or tapered lampshades in various dimensions. We also make half candle or shield shades. Half Oblong. Oval. Square. Hexagonal. We’ve made them all - in so many different colours and fabrics we have lost count! Where to buy mini lamp shades ? Right here : It may be that you have moved into a house that already has wall lights that aren’t really your style, so you are looking for replacement small lampshades - or you’ve found some lovely antique brass wall lights at a boot sale - that just need some new miniature lampshades, but the right shape and size of lampshades will be really hard to find anywhere else, good job you found us then! The lamp shade dimensions required can be really particular for wall lights and are very much limited by the arm length of the wall light (sometimes called the neck) which defines the protrusion from the wall and height to the lamp holder. We need a shade that fits within these dimensions and also covers the bulb effectively - and something else that will effect your choice of mini clip shade is whether you are using a faux candle cover.
You can also get very different lit effects depending on the covering and lamination on the lamp shades - generally it is better with the very small light shades to choose a covering that will illuminate and let light pass through the shade so they glow - anything that blocks the light ( like some of our metallic laminations) will make for a very dim room, so are best avoided, but as we make bespoke lampshades for you, you can have whatever you like. You can update your existing lighting with new lampshades.
