All Our Workshops are suitable for beginners as well as more advanced makers & crafters as we are on hand to guide you through the process and help if necessary. You can be confident you will leave with professional looking lampshades and the ability to grow your knowledge and skills to make more shades of your own.

Lamp Shade making workshop : 2 hour Assortment Workshop

We have named this our “Assortment Workshop” because in each 2 hour workshop you can choose to make either: One large drum lampshade upto 43cm/17” diameter suitable for a large table lamp, floor lamp, or as a pendant shade. OR 2 smaller lampshades approx 20cm diameter suitable for table/ bedside lights OR 2 Candle Clip lampshades suitable for wall lights or chandeliers.
Learn how to make professional looking lampshades in a shape, size and style that suits you - we have set up 3 courses across the day, each being 2 hours long. Each 2 hour workshop slot costs £75 per person, you can choose to do just one workshop or book 2 ( £150) or all 3 ( £225) to make a day of it & come away with a nice selection of hand made lampshades and some serious lampshade making skills. *Subject to availability.
You can attend alone and concentrate on learning the craft, or book with friends to have a lovely day sharing the creative experience. You will leave having learnt there is a lot more to lampshade making than you thought and take home professional look lamp shades unique to you.
All Materials and equipment are supplied, but you can bring along your own fabric ( subject to suitability). Once you have booked your place you will be sent confirmation including an overview of the workshop activity and advice if you want to bring your own fabric, along with directions to the workshop venue.
Light Refreshments are included ( brews and cake & biscuits) but if you want to bring your own lunch/food that is fine. There are also some nice pubs nearby if you are making a day of it or need accomodation.
Lampshade Kits will be available to purchase on the day if you wish to continue your lampshade making at home.

Learn how to make professional looking lampshades - we have set up a variety of different courses across the same days. This is so that you can choose to do just one short workshop or book 2, or all 3 sessions consecutively to make a day of it & come away with a nice selection of hand made lampshades and some serious lampshade making skills. Any of these workshops make a great gift for the creative designer in your life, and are perfect for a get-together of friends to share this fun creative experience.

This is a stand alone workshop, but you can ( if available) book onto consecutive workshops if you want to make multiple / different lampshades or just to have a longer creative experience and want to make a day of it - especially if you have travelled to attend.
We have a “Candle Clip Shade Workshop” which is a 3 hour class where you can make 4 mini candle clip lampshades suitable for wall lights or chandeliers.
We have our “Fat Lava Workshop” where you can make a large conical lampshade or long cylinderif you prefer for your own West German Fat Lava Lamp Base.

In this 3 hour workshop you will be making a shade for your own Fat Lava Lamp Base, ( you bring your base with you) This event is priced at £125 for a 3 hour workshop*, so you get to learn how to make these retro shades while making your own unique shade at the same time, for about the same price as buying one from us. It is a nice opportunity to explore the options of different shapes, sizes and coverings for your specific West German lamp base in a creative workshop. * very large shades will be subject to cost upgrade.
